North Fairview Elementary School (NFES) was established in response to rapid population growth and residential expansion in northern Quezon City during the late 1980s. [1, 2]
June 1988: The school officially started as an annex of Fairview Elementary School.
Initial Campus: It began on a 4,204-square-meter lot at the corner of Avon and Astor Streets, initially utilizing just a three-room pre-fabricated building.
June 1989: The campus officially opened for regular student use. [1]
Early Expansion & Administrative Growth (1990–1993)
Chamber of Commerce Donation: The Quezon City Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce donated two classroom buildings to meet early enrollment demands.
Government Support: The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) added a two-story, six-classroom building shortly after.
July 1993: Due to a significant surge in enrollment, the site was structurally designated as the Fairview Elementary School Annex. Mrs. Dolores Leonor was assigned as the first Teacher-in-Charge, managing 11 teaching staff and 777 pupils. [1]
Attaining Independence (1994)
February 5, 1994: The school officially severed its annex status to become an independent public elementary school.
First Principal: Dr. Dionisia H. Distor was appointed as the inaugural school administrator, serving from 1994 to 1999. [1]
